Thunder Thursday: Silver Crown at Iowa ’06

From September 17, 2006, it’s the very first USAC appearance at the newly-constructed Iowa Speedway. The combination of fresh pavement, high speeds, and finding the handling on the polarizing “New Generation Silver Crown Car” created a challenge unlike most others. In the end, it was an experienced team and driver that rose to the top of the podium, basking in the limelight of victory lane on this nationally televised race that aired on The Outdoor Channel. – Richie Murray
